Another challenge is dealing with folks who are misinformed or don’t know much about democracy. It’s hard to promote something when people don’t even know what it means. According to a study conducted by the Pew Research Center, only 55% of Americans know that the U.S. Constitution establishes the separation of powers. That’s a big problem because if people don’t understand the basics of democracy, how can they support it? 😕

Additionally, there’s the issue of political polarization. These days, it seems like everyone is so damn divided and it’s hard to find common ground. When people are so set in their beliefs, it can be hard to convince them to see things from a different perspective.
